Good to know

Common questions

Can't I just take an old piano to the tip?
Most household tips won't accept pianos, and they're far too heavy and awkward to move safely without the right equipment. We collect from any room, dismantle on site and recycle the parts responsibly under our waste-carrier licence.
Do you remove pianos from upstairs?
Yes. As piano specialists we carry skates, straps and padding, so we can bring a piano down stairs and through tight doorways without damaging your floors or walls.
Is my old piano worth anything?
Many older uprights have little resale value and cost more to move than they're worth, which is why disposal is often the sensible option. If yours is still playable we'll tell you honestly and can move it to a new home instead.
What happens to the piano after collection?
It's broken down into its materials — timber, metal and felt — and separated for recycling, with under 1% going to landfill.
